Dovydas Success Story
Dovydas' Success Story: Three Years at MUST'er academy and the "Bolis" Project
The knowledge gained at school is incredibly important, but parents are increasingly looking for ways to expand their children's opportunities and equip them with additional skills essential for life. This is why Dovydas' parents decided that their son would also attend MUST'er academy.
"We had a strong desire to give our son more than what school lessons could offer. We wanted a place where he could flourish as an individual—develop leadership skills, public speaking abilities, gain insights into the business world, and participate in team activities," say Dovydas' parents.
Leadership and Family Support During the Toughest Moments
Personal growth is not an easy task—it requires constantly stepping out of your comfort zone, finding ways to navigate various challenges, and discovering the motivation to move forward when giving up feels like the easier option. As Dovydas' parents observed, during the toughest moments, they supported their son through conversations. "The most important thing is patience. Children often don't want to burden their parents with their worries, so we try to reassure them that they should come to us first with their problems. This helps them open up and find solutions," the parents share.
Dovydas acknowledges that he learned a lot of new and important things at the academy. He says, "I want to grow and learn things that schools don’t teach." After spending three years at the academy, Dovydas not only strengthened his skills but also discovered self-confidence, especially in public speaking, which used to cause him anxiety. "Now I don’t feel such intense anxiety when speaking publicly—I trust myself more," Dovydas shares, adding that during his first year, he struggled to overcome the fear of presenting his project.
The "Bolis" Project: From Idea to Success
One of the most significant achievements for Dovydas and his team was the "Bolis" project. "Bolis was born during a brainstorming session with Kajus. The name came about spontaneously—Monster Bolis seemed like the perfect choice," recalls Dovydas. Together with his teammate, he created an innovative phone holder that impressed not only the academy community but also the panel of judges, earning their team first place in the championship.
"The project taught Dovydas how to work in a team, discuss ideas, negotiate, make decisions, and implement them. We see this as a comprehensive project—from the initial idea to execution, including financial, advertising, and production aspects," share Dovydas' parents. Despite some challenges, such as last-minute work on the prototype, the project was a success. Dovydas was supported not only by his classmates but also by his family. "Mom helped find the ball, and my sister and grandmother helped turn it into Bolis," says Dovydas.
Changes and Growth
Dovydas’ parents have noticed significant changes in him over the past three years. "He has started expressing his opinions and has become much more confident. Before attending MUST'er sessions, he often underestimated himself, saying he didn’t understand or couldn’t do something. Now, such statements have completely disappeared," the parents observe.
They believe this transformation happened thanks to the respectful communication at the academy, where teachers listen to students’ opinions, engage in discussions, and foster confidence through supportive interactions.
Tips for Parents
Dovydas' parents believe that creativity and idea development have no age limits. "No age is too young to start developing dreams and ideas. Not only teenagers but also younger children should be encouraged to think about what they can create with their own hands and minds," they advise.
Projects like "Bolis" give children the opportunity not only to create but also to tackle real societal problems, stimulate critical thinking, and build the future.
What Does the Future Hold for "Bolis"?
"We sincerely wish Dovydas perseverance and the desire to take this project even further. We hope he finds a company that can help bring this project to life," say his parents.
Dovydas also hopes that the "Bolis" project will grow even bigger in the future and gain recognition from a wider audience.
